First hosted by my good friend Nick Barbery at his blog Ghostcapital, The Best Of Budd is a compilation I made of some seriously funky soundtrack music composed by Roy Budd. Roy had perfect pitch, started playing piano and the age of 2, and could play the Wurlitzer organ by 8. The 20 tracks on this comp span his dynamic, melodic, and groove oriented film scores from 1970 to 1980. Here's a great clip of him playing the Get Carter Theme.
