Library Music Selections Vol.4 Synthesizers, Keyboards + Electronics

As the title suggests, this volume of library music focuses on analog synthesizers, keyboards, organs, and other electronic curiosities. Some tracks were exclusively created with a synthesizer whiles others used it simply as a texture. I know it's only the tip of the iceberg, but it's a fun expedition into another genre of library music.

Stereoblade (Written In Blood Vol.9)

Volume 9! It didn't take a lot of encouragement to venture deeper within the vaults of horror to dig out some more romantically macabre instrumentals. Stereoblade covers a wide swath of music in both style and era, but each song has a place in the annals of horror soundtracks. Hope you enjoy the final volume of Written In Blood as much as I did putting it together.

note: For the first time I've come across a theme I can't find a credited artist for! The Babysitter is from a made-for-tv-movie of the same name. There was a whole bunch of library source music used for this, those artists are easy to find, but the main title presents a fun internet challenge.

Library Music Selections Vol. 3 Baroque to Folk

Here's another update to a comp I've been working on forever. Now with more harpsichord! This focuses on library music with a baroque or classical feel and some folk elements mixed in. Perfect background music for any season. Get your horse and buggy ready for a smooth ride through the countryside!

Library Music Selections Vol.2 Deep Cuts and Dark Beats

Deep Cuts and Dark Beats focuses on the darker side library music and the variety of styles that fall under that umbrella. I kind of think of it as a soundtrack to a horror film that was never made, or the library companion piece to the Written In Blood series. It's more atmospheric than melodic, but there are some great beat driven tracks and eerie pieces that should please any horror music aficionado.

Here's a link to the updated mix!

Library Music Selections Vol.1 Jazz and Funk

Over the last few years my love for obsure soundtracks from the '70s shifted to library music. This music was produced for film, TV, and radio, but rarely released to the public. I've been compiling a large collection of library music and will start posting compilations in a thematic series. Here's volume 1. Some of these songs will be familiar to fans of the genre, but for those of you who haven't heard this music before, you're in for a real treat. (8/27/2012)

Update: I've been going through all my old comps and giving them a dusting off. They now have better sound quality, tighter segues, and some new art. This is my first of the library mixes, so thanks for being patient while I get to the others.

The A Capella Scream (Written In Blood Vol.2) Special Edition

The A Capella Scream is the second volume in the Written In Blood series. This Horror-Fi edition features higher quality music than previous versions and a few alternate tracks. When I first put these mixes together some of the soundtracks weren't released so I recorded the songs from VHS and DVDs. Since then there have been quite a few scores that have finally come to see the light of day, albeit in limited editions. Enjoy!

The Piano String Strangler (Written In Blood Vol. 8) - Expanded Edition

I dug deeper into the vaults of horror to find some rare gems and newly remixed tracks for an expanded edition of Written In Blood Vol. 8. The soundtrack odyssey continues with The Piano String Strangler, focusing more on the '80s synthesizer scores while still including some haunting melodies from the '60s and '70s.

DJ social media flyers

Finally breaking away from the faux View-Master packaging, I decided to go the Super 8 film box route for my DJ flyers. Here are a few that would've been fun to have on your home projector, you know, after showing friends slides from your last vacation over cocktails.
